A Ultrasystems Environmental Case Study
The City of South Gate sought to develop a 7-acre community recreational space and needed to obtain grant funding from the California State Parks and Recreation Department. To meet this challenge, the city engaged Ultrasystems Environmental for its expertise in CEQA and environmental documentation.
Ultrasystems prepared an 18-page Proposal Description and Environmental Screening Form (PD/ESF) to support the grant application, detailing the project and its environmental considerations. Subsequently, Ultrasystems was retained to prepare an Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND), which included technical analyses for air quality, greenhouse gas emissions, noise, and a Phase I Cultural Resources Inventory. This comprehensive work helped the City of South Gate advance its project to create a safe space that promotes healthy lifestyles and a sense of community.
