City of Fontana advances Civic Center renovation with Ultrasystems Environmental and 65 new parking spaces

The City of Fontana sought to renovate its Civic Center Campus by demolishing and replacing its City Hall and Annex buildings, a project requiring compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Ultrasystems Environmental was engaged to prepare the necessary environmental documentation, including an Initial Study, to identify the permits and approvals needed.

Ultrasystems prepared an Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND) for the multi-phase project, supported by technical studies on air quality, noise, and cultural resources. The vendor also provided support at public hearings, leading to the successful adoption of the IS/MND by the Planning Commission and City Council, enabling the city to proceed with its significant redevelopment.
