Unified Brands, a manufacturer and assembler of foodservice equipment for the institutional food industry, needed better access to information and more efficient business processes to support growth and acquisitions. When a new president joined the company, he found the legacy PRMS system outdated and unable to provide the visibility needed for stronger decision-making and expansion, so Unified Brands turned to Ultra Consultants for help.

Ultra Consultants implemented a two-track approach: a fast BI initiative and an ERP selection/implementation program. Ultra built a Data Warehouse and Sales Reporting system using Microsoft tools and Cognos, delivering it in 90 days, then helped select and implement a new ERP system and integrated data from legacy and acquired systems for seamless reporting. The results included improved margins, increased revenue per sales headcount, reduced rebate processing effort, and better manufacturing cost control through more accurate, timely analytics.
