Pactiv Corporation, a global supplier of specialty packaging and consumer products, needed to solve a post-merger sales reporting challenge after combining systems from Amoco, Mobil, and Tenneco Packaging. The different legacy businesses each had their own customer and product data, making it difficult to create a single, unified view of historical and future sales activity. Ultra Consultants was brought in to help address the problem with reporting and data warehouse support.
Ultra Consultants worked with Pactiv’s data warehouse team to consolidate legacy data into one secure warehouse and build an Executive Information System for consistent sales analysis and KPI reporting. The project was later expanded to include a data delivery system that pushed each sales rep’s activity and history to their laptops by email, along with user training and ongoing help desk support. As a result, more than 150 Pactiv users gained faster access to up-to-date sales information, improving efficiency, productivity, and sales management visibility.
