Ipsen, a global manufacturer of industrial vacuum furnaces and related thermal processing systems, needed to replace an outdated legacy ERP environment that had not been upgraded in years. The old Infor Syteline system lacked modern functionality for forecasting, project management, product configuration, and multi-plant support, forcing the company to rely heavily on spreadsheets, custom reports, and manual processes. To support growth and better integrate systems like Salesforce, Concur, and field service, Ipsen worked with Ultra Consultants on an ERP modernization effort.

Ultra Consultants helped Ipsen upgrade from Infor Syteline v5 to Syteline v9, while also leading process improvement, project management, budgeting, and data cleansing. The implementation reduced manual steps, improved scheduling and costing, streamlined quote-to-order activities, and created a more integrated “single source of truth” across plants. Ipsen also reported fewer help desk tickets, better documentation, and a permanent process improvement team to sustain gains beyond go-live.
