A UL Case Study
INIM Electronics, an Italian manufacturer of fire alarm and security systems, sought to expand its customer base globally. Their challenge was that potential customers in new markets increasingly demanded the UL Mark, a recognized symbol of quality and safety, and not having it represented a lost opportunity. They partnered with UL Solutions to address this.
UL Solutions worked with INIM to evaluate existing product data, accepting much of it to reduce the time and cost of certification. The resulting UL-EU Mark on their products provided buyers with confidence and quickly helped secure additional orders, forcing an increase in production to meet new demand. The relationship with UL Solutions has been so successful that INIM has now begun the process to pursue certification for the North American market.
