Wallbox, a Barcelona-based electric vehicle smart charging company, wanted to accelerate entry into the North American market but faced the challenge of meeting stricter certification requirements than those in Europe and China. The company turned to UL Solutions for testing guidance and certification support for its EV charging equipment, including standards for safety, software, and personnel protection systems.

UL Solutions worked with Wallbox on component construction review, test planning, and hands-on support during setup and testing, helping the team understand and meet the required methods across UL and CSA standards. With UL Solutions’ support through its U.S. engineers and EV laboratory in Frankfurt, Wallbox achieved North American certification before the end of the year, strengthening its product development practices and enabling the company to continue future projects with UL Solutions.
