A UL Solutions Case Study
Schneider Electric worked with UL Solutions to address a growing problem with counterfeit APC brand UPS products appearing across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. The company needed a consistent way to educate customs officials worldwide, while also training investigators and attorneys and making it easy to update materials and provide a useful follow-up resource after in-person sessions.
UL Solutions responded by creating a 15-minute custom eLearning module hosted on the IP Crime Investigator’s College website and made available free to targeted law enforcement officials. The course helped learners identify counterfeit UPS products and know whom to contact at Schneider Electric, and it was supported by email outreach and an electronic certificate of completion. The program was expected to reach officials in more than 50 countries, save Schneider Electric about $2,500 per training, earn a 4.9/5 recommendation rating, and generate interest from 67% of respondents in taking additional courses.
