First European Process Claim for Industrial Control Panels with UL Verification Mark

Control Mechatronics GmbH (CTMT) worked with UL Solutions and Siemens AG to address uncertainty around electrical door interlock requirements for industrial control panels exported to North America. The challenge was ensuring designs aligned with UL 508A and NFPA 79 while giving end customers confidence that the panels would meet local authority expectations and safety requirements.

UL Solutions used its Marketing Claim Verification service to evaluate Siemens’ door interlocking design solution for distributed industrial control panels, including three application examples for electronic door interlocking. The assessment reviewed design details, functional sequence, circuit diagrams, and bill of materials, and confirmed that Siemens’ marketing claim was accurate; as a result, CTMT gained a flexible, cost- and space-saving solution with greater confidence in compliance and market acceptance.
