The Coca-Cola Company worked with UL Solutions to better understand human rights risks in its agricultural supply chain, particularly in Latin American sugarcane sourcing countries. The company needed to proactively identify and manage issues such as child labor, forced labor, and land rights concerns across its global value chain.

UL Solutions’ Responsible Sourcing group conducted customized human rights due diligence studies using field research, desktop research, and stakeholder interviews at mills and farms. The resulting report gave The Coca-Cola Company a factual basis to engage industry, government, and NGOs, address knowledge gaps, and support long-term mitigation of child labor, forced labor, and land rights risks across its supply chain.
