Brookfield Properties in Los Angeles Commits to Tenant Health with UL Verified Healthy Buildings for Indoor Air

Brookfield Properties, a major Los Angeles real estate owner/operator, wanted to reassure tenants about indoor health and air quality as offices prepared to reopen after pandemic-related closures. The company had long prioritized IAQ and worked with UL Solutions for air testing, monitoring, and inspections, then joined UL’s Verified Healthy Building for Indoor Air program to validate those efforts.

UL Solutions verified nine Brookfield Properties buildings in Downtown Los Angeles and Marina del Rey through a desktop audit, on-site visits, visual inspections, and performance testing. The verification gave Brookfield Properties third-party confirmation of high indoor air quality, helped inform its return-to-work planning, and provided a clear signal to tenants and stakeholders that healthy indoor environments remain a priority, with ongoing reevaluation twice a year to sustain the mark.
