MicroLoan Foundation - Customer Case Study

MicroLoan Foundation is a charity that finances and trains female entrepreneurs in rural sub‑Saharan Africa to break the cycle of extreme poverty. Their challenge was keeping donors informed, engaged and able to access media, events and impact data in one place to sustain support for programmes that have reached over 280,000 women and roughly 1.4 million lives since 2002. To address this, Ugenie provided the uHub community platform to help connect supporters with the charity’s work.

Ugenie’s uHub delivers a document and media library, calendar and event scheduler, and a continuously updated news feed so MicroLoan Foundation can share videos, schedule events and track engagement. The charity reports optimistic feedback on usability, and the hub is offered to donors for £15/month — the equivalent of about two direct donations — helping fund their programmes while improving donor communication and content engagement. Ugenie’s platform thus made it easier for MicroLoan Foundation to keep supporters informed and involved.
