Southern California Hispanic Chain Company - Customer Case Study

Southern California Hispanic Chain Company, one of the largest Hispanic department store chains in southern California, needed to modernize digital signage across 10 large Los Angeles County stores where existing DVD- and PC-based setups limited screen counts and centralized content management. They engaged UCView to address requirements for 20–40 screens per store, synchronized audio/video across long floor spans, and narrowcasting over long distances.

UCView deployed its RackMedia digital signage players and software, extending video with VGA over shielded CAT5 and enabling remote control via RS-232 to centrally manage more than 300 displays (20–40 per store) with synchronization across players up to 500 m. The UCView solution reduced the number of local players and player software (lowering costs), enabled real-time, dynamic promotions and announcements, and simplified operations and monitoring for store managers and HQ—improving information access and the customer shopping experience.
