Pepperdine University Uses Digital Signage to Communicate with the Academic Community

Pepperdine University wanted to modernize campus communications and determine whether digital signage would be a valuable long‑term investment, replacing ineffective DVD‑based displays. UCView was engaged to pilot and provide the digital signage solution, including hardware, content management and installation, to reach students, staff and visitors across Pepperdine’s 830‑acre campus.

After a successful pilot UCView deployed 32–42‑inch monitors in dining areas, lounges, the library and the School of Law, adding live TV and a global alert capability. The UCView system lets staff publish real‑time event, academic and safety messages and can broadcast emergency audio remotely; it now reaches the majority of Pepperdine’s 7,000+ students and has measurably improved campuswide communication and emergency notification.
