Salming Sports AB, the Swedish sports brand behind products for running, floorball, handball, squash, volleyball, badminton, and padel, needed a faster, easier-to-navigate ecommerce experience as its international business grew. Their old site split products into different sport segments, which made discovery difficult, and the outdated technology limited filtering and search performance. Ucommerce, together with Ixit, was brought in to modernize the commerce platform and improve the overall shopping experience.

Ucommerce helped power a new unified Salming.com built on Umbraco 8 and Ucommerce 8.4, with Ixit’s Accelerator supporting the business layer and frontend. The solution consolidated Salming’s sport segments into one site, improved search, filtering, responsiveness, and performance, and connected desktop and mobile experiences. The results included a significant increase in orders placed per day, search responses in about a tenth of a second, and a scalable foundation for unlimited markets, languages, currencies, and product variants.
