VIP Internet turns to Canonical’s Juju for instant service creation

VIP Internet, a leading managed hosting and cloud provider in the Netherlands, needed a new business model that let customers create VMs and applications in real time. To enable rapid self-service provisioning while freeing internal teams from day-to-day operations, they sought a fully managed OpenStack cloud deployed and initially operated by an external partner.

Partnering with Fairbanks and adopting Canonical’s BootStack—powered by Juju—gave VIP a managed, highly available OpenStack environment plus model-driven orchestration and a Charm Store for one-click deployments. The result was faster time-to-market and hands-off operations, enabling VIP to offer an app-store–style managed cloud that customers can rapidly provision and resell.
