Ubuntu helps KnowledgeTree build client base and reduce costs

KnowledgeTree, a provider of online document management solutions for SMBs, wanted to launch a SaaS version of its product that was scalable, responsive, and easy to manage. To do so, it worked with Ubuntu partner RightScale and used Ubuntu Server Edition with Amazon EC2 to support a more flexible cloud-based infrastructure.

Ubuntu helped KnowledgeTree deploy the new solution in under three months, making it easier to test and roll out features while reducing hardware needs. The result was a robust multi-tenant platform that could automatically scale with demand, enabling KnowledgeTree to serve 200 times the number of clients for a quarter of the cost.
