SBI Group unlocks infrastructure automation with secure, on-premises OpenStack cloud

SBI BITS, the IT services and infrastructure provider for the SBI Group in Japan, needed an alternative to bare metal servers to speed time to market and handle demanding client requirements. They chose Ubuntu’s OpenStack solution with Canonical support to build a secure, on-premises cloud without vendor lock-in.

Ubuntu implemented the OpenStack cloud in just a few weeks, using CEPH storage and deployment tools like MAAS and Juju across two sites. The result was a cost-effective platform that improved both CAPEX and OPEX, met regulatory compliance, and gave SBI BITS the confidence to roll it out across the wider SBI Group.
