Case Study: Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ) achieves faster OpenStack cloud deployment in one week with Ubuntu

A Ubuntu Case Study

Preview of the Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ) Case Study

From months to one week How IIJ is shipping OpenStack Clouds quicker with MAAS and Juju

Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ) needed a faster, more efficient way to deploy containerized data centers and OpenStack cloud environments, especially for customers requiring rapid provisioning and lower operational costs. Using Ubuntu’s MAAS and Juju alongside OpenStack, IIJ aimed to simplify large-scale infrastructure management and reduce the complexity of configuring bare-metal servers.

Ubuntu’s MAAS and Juju helped IIJ automate deployment and server management, eliminating the need to handle each server individually. As a result, IIJ cut the time to build a customer-ready container data center from two to three months down to about one week, while also improving agility and operational efficiency.
