Large University needed an identity management solution for thousands of international identities — roughly 12,000 students and 4,000 employees — and faced limited options for global strong authentication. The university selected Ubisecure’s Identity Platform (deployed alongside One Identity Manager and integrated by Intragen) to provide strong authentication, account activation and password self-service for its diverse user base.

Ubisecure implemented MFA via the Identity Platform — using Suomi.fi for users with Finnish social security numbers and SMS/email-based MFA for international users — plus an Authentication Adapter microservice to simplify adding future identity providers. The deployment secures about 16,000 identities, strengthened data privacy and GDPR compliance through multifactor authentication, reduced IT effort by enabling self-service password resets, and future‑proofed the university’s authentication capabilities.
