Upgrading Video Surveillance and Wireless with UniFi

Leader Computers, a top‑ten Australian distributor with five city locations and more than 200 onsite users across five warehouses, faced aging CCTV and wireless systems that couldn’t keep up with growth or high bandwidth demands (up to 1 Gbps per warehouse). To modernize surveillance and Wi‑Fi, Leader Computers engaged Ubiquiti and selected UniFi Video Gen 3 cameras and UniFi 802.11ac access points (backed by Ubiquiti switches and UniFi servers).

Ubiquiti deployed dozens of UVC‑G3 cameras, nanoHD and AC‑Mesh APs, PoE/10G switching and UniFi XG application servers (typically 25–50 cameras per site with 16 TB recording capacity per server). The solution installed rapidly, cut costs (cited as ~70% cheaper for CCTV and about 1/5 the wireless cost versus competitors), produced HD footage that yielded usable theft evidence in minutes, simplified management, and scaled for future expansion and energy savings.
