UniFi Takes High-Performance Wireless to New Heights

Titanium Security Arena, an 8,000‑seat indoor venue in Findon, South Australia, faced deadspots, insufficient coverage for crowds over 4,000, no centralized corporate Wi‑Fi, and no reliable POS/EFTPOS Wi‑Fi (poor cellular reception made transactions slow). The arena engaged Ubiquiti to deploy its UniFi solution, including UniFi BaseStation XG units, UniFi APs and the UniFi Controller running on a UniFi Application Server, to deliver high‑performance 802.11ac wireless and centralized management.

Ubiquiti installed a high‑density UniFi deployment (14 UWB‑XG BaseStation XG, eight UAP‑AC‑PRO, one UAP‑AC‑LR and a UAS‑XG running UniFi Controller) to provide reliable attendee and POS Wi‑Fi and isolated SSIDs across VLANs. The Ubiquiti solution delivered measurable impact: instantaneous EFTPOS transactions (replacing slow 3G, which took 30 seconds to 3 minutes), boosting catering revenue by about $35,000 per game (~45%), and consistently offering attendees average speeds above 30 Mbps (about 50/50 Mbps on game days), while restoring full corporate network access.
