UniFi Improves Streaming and Wi-Fi Coverage for Hotel Guests

Staypineapple, a boutique hospitality company with nine hotels across six U.S. cities, needed reliable, high‑density Wi‑Fi to support guests who stream media and use multiple devices. To meet that challenge they turned to Ubiquiti, deploying UniFi networking gear—including UAP‑AC‑LITE, UAP‑AC‑PRO, UAP‑AC‑HD access points, UniFi PoE switches, and the UniFi Controller—to deliver consistent coverage and streaming capability throughout rooms, hallways and public spaces.

Ubiquiti’s solution standardized deployments (359 UAP‑AC‑LITE, 122 UAP‑AC‑PRO, 6 UAP‑AC‑HD and 32 UniFi PoE switches) and used higher AP density plus UniFi Controller management to simplify provisioning, VLANs and monitoring. The result: reliable dual‑band Wi‑Fi with a guaranteed minimum of 30/30 Mbps for uninterrupted streaming, an effective ratio of about 1 AP per 2.5 guest rooms, improved 5 GHz coverage with a small footprint and lower investment, and easier multi‑site administration via Ubiquiti’s UniFi platform.
