K-12 School Leverages Technology to Pave the Path to Interactive Learning

Central Coast Grammar School (CCGS), an independent K–12 school in New South Wales with ~1,300 students and 150 staff and a long-standing 1:1 device program, needed to replace a patchwork of wired and wireless systems with a single-vendor network that could support high‑bandwidth uses — notably simultaneous wireless HD video projection from any device to multiple classroom screens. CCGS selected Ubiquiti solutions, testing and choosing UniFi AC access points, UniFi Controller software and EdgeMAX routing and switching products to meet those demands.

Ubiquiti deployed a campus-wide UniFi wireless fabric (UniFi AC EDU/HD/Pro and outdoor APs managed by the UniFi Controller) together with EdgeMAX backbone gear (EdgeRouter Infinity, EdgeSwitch XG and 48‑port PoE EdgeSwitches) to deliver bonded 5 GHz 802.11ac coverage and 10 Gbps uplinks between buildings. The implementation enabled reliable simultaneous HD wireless projection (over 100 Mbps per stream), multiple APs per classroom for load‑balanced capacity, simplified centralized management, and a marked increase in concurrent connections and overall network performance — freeing teachers from the front of the room and enhancing interactive learning across the school.
