How FedExForum’s IT team delivers bleeding-edge Wi-Fi with pinpoint precision to over 18,000 Memphis Grizzlies fans—raising the bar for stadium connectivity and fan engagement

Memphis Grizzlies’ FedExForum needed a reliable way to keep thousands of fans connected during games and other events, especially in a dense arena environment with challenging RF conditions and seasonal traffic spikes. To meet this demand, the team worked with Ubiquiti and UniFi to support high-capacity Wi‑Fi and network performance for 5,000-plus concurrent users.

Ubiquiti implemented a UniFi-based design featuring the Enterprise Fortress Gateway, high-density APs, multiple 10 Gbps ISP circuits, and optimized AP placement for line-of-sight and under-seat coverage. The result was strong, hiccup-free connectivity across the arena, reduced congestion, and a network built to handle large crowds more efficiently.
