Aire.EC Leads the Wireless Internet Boom in Latin America

Aire.EC, an authorized Ubiquiti reseller and one of the pioneering Wireless Internet Service Providers in Latin America, needed to deliver affordable, high‑speed Internet to businesses, government, the military and remote towns across Ecuador’s extreme, eco‑diverse environments—locations sometimes more than 50 km from the nearest fiber backbone. To meet this challenge it turned to Ubiquiti airMAX and UniFi product families for cost‑effective, easy‑to‑deploy wireless backhaul, CPE and enterprise Wi‑Fi.

Ubiquiti’s airMAX and UniFi solutions were rolled out across Aire.EC’s customer base and partner WISPs—resulting in over 150,000 Ubiquiti units deployed—providing durable connectivity from the Galapagos to the Andes. The deployments enabled WISPs to compete with large telcos (iPlanet runs a 100% Ubiquiti network), delivered UniFi Wi‑Fi to more than 6,000 university students, helped reach remote communities, and supported Aire.EC’s growth (30% sales increase year‑over‑year).
