M&S, one of the UK’s most iconic retailers serving 31 million customers and operating 1,063 store listings, faced inconsistent local listing information across its family of brands (M&S Simply Food, M&S Outlet and M&S on Ocado). Having worked with Uberall since 2018 to clean up multi-brand listing data, the pandemic created urgent new challenges—keeping opening hours, in-store services and Covid guidance accurate and consistent across search platforms so customers could shop with confidence.
M&S expanded its use of the Uberall Listings platform and visual tools to publish real-time updates (including mask requirements and service changes) and refresh store imagery across Google, Apple Maps and other channels. As a result, customer engagement jumped dramatically—image views rose from about 35,000 per day to 235,000 per day within four weeks—improving awareness of safety measures and ensuring up-to-date local information for shoppers.
