How Tyto Care is Transforming Remote Care in Rural Schools

Health-e-Schools, a program of the Center for Rural Health Innovation, needed a way to expand school-based telehealth access across all 26 Burke County schools on a limited $25,000 grant budget. Their previous telehealth examination tools were difficult to scale, making it hard to reach more students in rural communities with consistent healthcare access. TytoCare’s portable remote exam platform was brought in to help address these limitations.

TytoCare implemented its on-demand medical exam solution to replace the program’s less scalable tools, giving Health-e-Schools a more reliable, cost-effective way to deliver telehealth services to additional schools. As a result, the program was able to extend telehealth coverage beyond the initial 6 schools and move closer to serving the full district while planning to expand into other counties as well.
