Vienna University needed a scalable way to manage a growing number of websites, domains, and content for its students, staff, faculties, and projects. TYPO3 provided the centralized web platform behind the university’s campus websites, supporting a large and diverse digital presence.

With TYPO3, the Vienna University Computer Center (ZID) built one central installation that powers multisite management, granular access rights, and flexible web publishing for the university. The solution now supports more than 93,000 students and 8,700 employees across nearly 1,300 domains, with over 570,000 news items and 420,000 content elements in more than 22 languages.
