A TYPO3 Case Study
FIZ Karlsruhe, a Leibniz Institute for information infrastructure in Germany, needed a modernized website that could present research and patent information more clearly to different user groups while also meeting accessibility and mobile-use requirements. To support this, TYPO3 was chosen as the open-source CMS for the technical implementation of the new site.
TYPO3 built a responsive, accessible website with tailored access routes, quick links, touchscreen-friendly navigation, and optimized source code for faster loading on mobile connections. The result was a visually tidy, modern, and intuitive website that works across devices and was tested against WCAG 2.0 and BITV 2.0 standards, making the FIZ Karlsruhe site accessible to users with disabilities.
