The customer, Nahverkehrsservice Sachsen-Anhalt GmbH (nasa), faced challenges with a restrictive legacy forum system that offered poor mobile usability and lacked flexibility for new features like surveys. They partnered with vendor TYPO3 and its implementation partner, Netresearch DTT GmbH, to replace it with a modern solution using the TYPO3 CMS.

The solution implemented by TYPO3 and Netresearch was a flexible, mobile-first forum that integrated NASA's corporate design and included features like Single Sign-On. This resulted in over 100 new user registrations in the first month and more than 200 ideas and 300 comments submitted by users. The TYPO3 platform also significantly reduced NASA's dependency on developers by empowering their editorial team to manage content independently.
