Henkel AG & Co. KGaA, a globally operating German manufacturer with major consumer adhesive brands, needed a way to provide consistent product advice and detailed information across retail stores, websites, and mobile channels. Working with TYPO3, the company used the TYPO3 commerce extension to support an interactive adhesive advisor for customers in DIY and retail environments.

TYPO3 implemented the “Klebeberater” as a multi-channel solution spanning an in-store POS kiosk, microsites, mobile web, and an iOS/Android app, all fed from a single TYPO3 source. The system delivered product recommendations, barcode-based product checks, multilingual content, and centralized updates that automatically propagated across formats, while also helping Henkel gather usage and product statistics across around 1,000 store terminals in Germany, Switzerland, and the UK.
