How HubSpot built a viral lead-generating app with Typeform

HubSpot, an inbound marketing platform, needed a fast, low-cost way to help marketers build buyer personas while also generating leads. They wanted a user-friendly, engaging experience that could be deployed quickly and integrate with other systems. HubSpot partnered with Cliknetix developer Dave Boroi and used Typeform to create the MakeMyPersona app.

Using Typeform, Dave designed a conversational typeform in under a week and integrated it via Zapier and WebMerge to automatically compile responses into a stylized Word persona and email it to users. The Typeform-powered MakeMyPersona drove strong social sharing and delivered measurable results — over 6,000 users in six months and more than 12,600 entries after a year (about 1,000 leads per month) — while saving significant time and development cost.
