How Fiole reliably chooses their customers' new favorite fragrance with a Typeform quiz

Fiole is a UK perfume startup that wanted to help customers choose an ideal fragrance online without an in-person consultation. The challenge was to make personalized recommendations feel natural and accurate while avoiding the awkwardness of walking into a department store to speak with a fragrance specialist.

To do this, Fiole used Typeform to build the Fiole Fragrance Finder, a quiz embedded on its website as a slider. The quiz uses logic to ask follow-up questions and match shoppers to scent families, then sends them to a sample box purchase page. Fiole says the conversion rate from sample to full product is about 25%, compared with an industry standard of between half and 1%.
