A Typeform Case Study

How an entire city used Typeform to eliminate its paper forms

The City of Victoriaville, a central‑Quebec municipality serving about 45,000 residents, faced slow, paper‑heavy processes and low citizen engagement caused by clumsy PDFs and manual data entry. To modernize communications and make it easy for people to report issues or apply for services from their phones, Victoriaville adopted Typeform’s mobile‑first online forms as the backbone of its digital strategy.

Using Typeform, the city replaced archaic PDFs with conversational forms for building permits, pothole and park reports, employee surveys and more, and integrated responses directly into Google Sheets with Zapier automation. Typeform’s features (file uploads, Logic Jump, notifications) eliminated manual entry, let applicants upload digital plans for much faster permit decisions, enabled staff to coordinate from a single spreadsheet, and reduced form build time from weeks to minutes — dramatically improving citizen engagement and municipal service delivery.
