PMC publishes 500,000 pages with Typefi

PMC, a Japanese document solutions company, faced challenges with its expensive and inefficient multilingual publishing system. Using Advent 3B2, its workflows were onerous; template changes were costly and required specialist engineers, and managing last-minute content updates across multiple languages was difficult and error-prone. The company needed a system that offered more control and a true single-source solution.

PMC implemented Typefi Workgroup, which integrated with its XML-based content management system. The solution used dynamic Adobe InDesign templates, allowing PMC's own designers to make changes and automate the layout process. The result was an "explosive" increase in production; PMC published approximately 500,000 pages with Typefi, gained the flexibility to handle new product categories and over eight additional languages, and achieved significant cost savings by eliminating the need for outsourced engineering.
