Why El Paso County Migrated to SaaS

El Paso County, Texas needed to modernize its justice ecosystem because its on-premises environment was causing disruptions, maintenance burdens, and reporting delays across more than 50 servers and three databases. Using Tyler Technologies’ Enterprise Justice and related solutions, the county set out to unify data and improve access for agencies from dispatch through prosecution and court.

Tyler Technologies migrated El Paso County to a SaaS, cloud-hosted environment on AWS GovCloud and upgraded it to the latest version of Enterprise Justice, improving stability, security, and workflow integration. The results included uptime rising from 87% to 99.98%, about 30% fewer monthly IT support hours, fewer than 10 support calls during implementation, and the resolution of more than 150 software issues, while also strengthening reporting and compliance.
