A Tyler Technologies Case Study
The Town of Greenburgh’s Assessor’s Office faced a major equity and efficiency problem: more than 30,000 parcels were still valued using 60-year‑old records from a 1956 reassessment, managed in Excel with no CAMA functionality. Multiple overlapping local assessors produced conflicting values, appeals and refunds were high, and staff needed roughly 30 minutes per parcel to produce assessments.
Working through a Multiple Municipal Reassessment Consortium, Greenburgh partnered with Tyler’s CLT Appraisal Services and implemented iasWorld CAMA, conducted town‑wide data collection, extensive public outreach and statistical modeling. The effort restored valuations to 100% of market value, cut valuation processing time to about a quarter of what it was, improved defendability and transparency via an online portal, achieved consistent values across villages, and produced ongoing savings (about $120,000/year) with expectations of fewer appeals and greater budget stability.
