The Castle Rock Police Department uses Brazos to promote safety and education

The Castle Rock Police Department, which serves more than 72,000 residents in Colorado, relied on pen-and-paper citations that were manually filed and difficult to analyze. That paper-based process wasted officer time at traffic stops, made trend analysis and data-driven deployment nearly impossible, and limited the department’s ability to improve roadway safety.

In 2014 Castle Rock implemented Tyler Technologies’ Brazos eCitation mobile solution to capture, process, and transmit citation data. The system cut roadside time by more than three minutes per stop (saving over 540 hours across ~10,000 stops), reduced traffic crashes by 8%, eliminated legibility errors, improved officer safety and data-driven deployment, and enabled written warnings to resolve downtown parking issues without harming businesses.
