A Tyler Technologies Case Study
The City of Temecula, California — a community of about 110,000 citizens — needed a single, sustainable way to keep residents informed and involved without creating “app sprawl.” With information spread across the city website, social channels, a government TV channel and paper-based reporting, Temecula faced low adoption risk for multiple standalone apps and limited transparency and responsiveness.
Temecula deployed Tyler Technologies’ My Civic mobile app (iOS, Android, Windows) to centralize news, calendars, social feeds, service requests and council contact, backed by a CMS and staff app for real-time updates and analytics. In the first month the app saw ~1,000 downloads and 300 reported issues (vs. ~50–60 emails/month), a roughly 400% increase in engagement, faster resolution times, better performance tracking and higher turnout at community events.
