A Tyler Technologies Case Study
Tyler Technologies' New World public safety platform helped Snohomish County’s SNOPAC face a critical New Year’s Eve 2015 challenge: a rapidly spreading mattress fire in a 217-unit apartment complex during a night of unusually high call volumes. The incident threatened many lives and required fast, multi‑jurisdictional coordination at a time when SNOPAC and neighboring centers had previously operated with slower, fragmented dispatch processes.
By using Tyler’s CAD with Automatic Vehicle Location and a shared countywide software platform, dispatchers routed first responders within 30–45 seconds and coordinated mutual aid across agencies. The rapid, centralized response mobilized 90+ personnel to a three‑alarm fire, limited structural loss to seven units (23 others suffered smoke/water damage), treated 15 residents, saved surrounding buildings, and avoided the additional 3–6 minute delays that the older system would likely have introduced.
