Shared Database Enables Real - Time Data Access across City Departments

Manatee County Property Appraiser partnered with Tyler Technologies to address growing operational and public-safety concerns across the county’s departments. With roughly 169,000 parcels on the 2012 assessment roll and many offices—fire districts, Tax Collector, GIS, building and more—dependent on timely, detailed property data, the county needed a centralized, real-time solution to eliminate batch uploads, reduce duplicated field work and provide more accurate structure and location information.

Manatee County implemented Tyler’s iasWorld in October 2012, creating a single shared database with role-based interfaces and integrations (including Pictometry and document management) so each office gets the data it needs in real time. The change gave all nine fire districts and other departments instant access to up-to-date parcel and structure information, saved staff hours by reducing duplicate work, improved interdepartmental communication, and enhanced public-safety responsiveness.
