The Placer County Superior Court, a longtime client of Tyler Technologies and user of its Tyler Jury system, faced the challenge of maintaining timely juror communication and precise jury pool management during the pandemic. The court needed to enhance its existing jury management features to ensure effective contact with jurors and adapt operations for physical distancing requirements.

Tyler Technologies collaborated with the court to develop and implement expanded communication and data tools within the Jury Manager system. The solution introduced automated and scheduled text and email capabilities, including customized messages for specific juror pools and daily reminders. Furthermore, enhancements to the online jury portal provided precise data analytics, allowing staff to predict daily juror attendance within two or three people. This allowed the court to plan summons numbers and courtroom space accurately, which was vital for its pandemic response.
