A Tyler Technologies Case Study
The Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG) is a seven‑county regional planning partnership serving more than 4.7 million residents. Heavily grant‑funded and reliant on detailed cost allocations, the organization found its legacy financial system increasingly costly to maintain and unable to support manual processes, outdated reports, and evolving allocation needs—challenges that became urgent as audits and a shift to remote work loomed.
SEMCOG implemented Tyler’s Incode (with Tyler Content Manager) with an expert implementation team, consolidating project accounting into a single cohesive system. The solution delivered granular reporting, eliminated many subsidiary spreadsheets, streamlined budget and grant setup, and enabled seamless 100% remote operations during COVID‑19—improving accuracy, real‑time visibility, and audit readiness.
