The City of North Lauderdale, Florida, a Munis (Tyler) client serving about 42,000 residents, faced an inefficient, paper‑heavy annual fire inspection process that created delays, duplicate records, limited data sharing between the fire and building departments, and made scheduling and fee collection difficult.
By adding annual fire inspections to Munis’ property master using the periodic inspection feature—with streamlined checklists, pass/fail area tabs, and fee capture—the city moved to an electronic workflow. The change improved scheduling, provided real‑time, shared access to inspection results, reduced paperwork and storage needs, increased revenue, and produced a significant return on effort.
