A Tyler Technologies Case Study
Mohave County’s Clerk of the Superior Court faced a costly, time-consuming jury-payments process: staff printed, signed, stuffed and mailed hundreds of paper checks each month (about 300 jurors), tracked uncashed checks for escheatment, and handled frequent replacement requests—requiring up to four people a full day weekly and significant supply and postage expenses.
In 2019 the office switched to Tyler Technologies’ Court Funds electronic disbursements, issuing jurors debit cards and loading payments directly. The new process now takes two people one to two hours, eliminated escheatment tracking, and saved nearly $40,000 in the first 15 months—about a 90% cost reduction—allowing staff raises and more time for other court duties.
