Lyon County Maximizes Time With Eagle

Lyon County Recorder’s Office in Yerington, Nevada is a four-person team that had been hampered by multiple legacy systems for recording, indexing, scanning and verification. Budget pressures and staff reductions made a software change daunting, but when their vendor went out of business in 2016 the county urgently needed an affordable, unified solution to keep services running smoothly.

In 2017 Lyon County implemented Tyler’s Records Management and Records Public Access, consolidating all recording tasks into one easy-to-learn system and enabling e-recording and online public access. The results: a 10-document package that once took over 90 minutes now records in about 20 minutes, end-of-month reporting dropped from a full day to 1.5 hours, staff routinely process roughly 100 documents per day, and constituents and title companies benefit from self-service searches and faster support.
