Leveraging Existing Technology to Solve Data Challenges

Glendale Elementary School District No. 40 — a K–8 district of 17 schools serving 11,300+ students with roughly 1,500 employees — had used Tyler Technologies’ Infinite Visions since 2001 for payroll and financials but relied on multiple third‑party systems for other functions. Those disparate systems created data silos, out‑of‑sync records, security risks and inefficient workflows between HR, IT and school sites.

To fix this, GESD made Infinite Visions its system of record and built import/export processes to push personnel and financial data into other platforms, supported by an ongoing HR–IT partnership. The district implemented automated onboarding, staffing pages, reporting and access controls, which unified data, tightened security, improved communication, streamlined vendor/teacher onboarding and dramatically reduced processing times across departments.
