LERMs helps the Maine Judicial Branch stay connected across 32 court locations

The State of Maine Judicial Branch’s Office of Judicial Marshals, which secures 32 courthouse locations statewide, faced slow, manual reporting processes that prevented real-time data sharing and created potential security risks. The agency needed a way to standardize reports, sync information instantly across locations, and better track health and safety issues like COVID-19 exposure and PPE inventory.

MJB implemented a configured version of Enterprise Law Enforcement Records with a Risk Assessment module to create and share threat profiles and centralized incident files. The system eliminated most manual paperwork, enabled immediate statewide alerts (notably helping stop a plotted courthouse shooting), improved situational awareness, supported COVID tracking and PPE management, and enforced more complete, consistent reporting from officers.
