A Tyler Technologies Case Study
United Independent School District (Laredo, TX), a large district serving 42,900 students, faced simultaneous state reporting challenges: meeting the Community Eligibility Provision’s family income survey requirements and accurately reporting individualized graduation readiness indicators (Foundation High School Program acknowledgements, military readiness, endorsements) to the Texas Education Agency, TREx and TAAR. These PEIMS-related data needs were critical for funding and accountability and were difficult to manage at the district’s scale.
The district built a custom electronic family income form using Tyler SIS Online Registration and partnered with Tyler to create a graduation plan module and course pathways in Tyler SIS. The solution automatically collects and records economic-disadvantage codes daily, saved an estimated 140 clerical hours, and gives counselors and principals instant access to academic histories and endorsement status so they can analyze progress and guide thousands of students.
